Part-Time, Day Shift
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Magnet-recognized by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, is seeking experienced Advanced Practice Nurse - Family Practice at our Somerville location.
The Advanced Practice Nurse – Family Practice is responsible for the provision of patient care across the healthcare care continuum for the LGBT patients of the RWJUH Somerset PROUD Family Health Center (PROUD Center). S/he assists in the promotion of health through the prevention of disease – including early detection and management of episodic symptoms of acute and chronic health problems. The APN supports the education and training of Family Medicine residents, Medical and Nursing Students. S/he assists primary care providers with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures – adhering to the Standards of Practice for Advanced Practice Nurses in the state of New Jersey.
Requirements:
- Masters in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- 1 to 3 years' APN experience.
- 5 years of RN experience.
- Valid, active New Jersey RN licensure, New Jersey APN Certification, National Advanced Certification.
- Communicates effectively.
- Leadership skills.
- Demonstrates organizational and decision-making skills.
