Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Magnet recognized by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, is seeking experienced PROUD Center Coordinator/Navigator at our Somerset location.

The PROUD Center Coordinator /Navigator coordinates all aspects of the day to day operations and outreach for the RWJUH Somerset PROUD Family Health Center (PROUD Center), serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender patients. S/he coordinates patient access/care to the PROUD Center, patient relations, outreach to the Community. Additional responsibilities include providing outreach and sensitivity training in the Staff, patients, and community. The role of the PROUD Center Coordinator/Navigator is to develop and implement programs and services to meet the healthcare needs of the LGBT communities served by RWJUH Somerset. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with other Hospital departments to contribute to the Hospital's overall goal of ensuring that all patients feel welcome and part of our campus. S/he will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:·

• Master's Degree in Nursing,  Social Work, Counseling, College Personnel, or related field.
  
• At least one year experience in outreach, volunteer recruitment, community organizing, and   public relations.
  
• Strong background in working with the LGBT community with special emphasis on access to primary and specialist care for the health of the LGBT Community.
  
• Demonstrated at least one to two year(s) of experience in providing support to patients who identify as LGBT. 
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  
• Experience in teaching, and/or providing training to groups.
  
• Experience coordinating LGBT Healthcare-related activities and programs.
  
• Demonstrated willingness to work evening and weekend hours.
