AAMH is Recruiting a Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Since 1974, All Access Mental Health (AAMH) has provided community mental health services to a very diverse population with a wide range of behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Located just outside Princeton, NJ, AAMH is dedicated to empowering those with mental illness through a variety of integrated, person centered holistic health care services. Formally known as Association for the Advancement of Mental Health, AAMH offers outpatient psychotherapy and counseling, psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring and psychiatric day treatment programming. Currently we are looking for a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse(part time: 4 to 8 hours a week) to provide psychiatric services to children, teenagers and adults. Position Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health nursing
- N.J. State License as a Registered Nurse
- N.J. State Certificate as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- N.J. CDS and DEA Registration
- National Certification for Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner in Mental Health
Position Summary:
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and render diagnosis in accordance with standard medical practice.
- Evaluate the need for medications and prescribe in accordance with collaborative agreement and laws of State of New Jersey.
- Perform medication monitoring, education and counseling services and psychiatric re-evaluations for assigned client caseload.
- Assess bio-psycho-social status of psychiatric clients who are in current caseload or assigned for psychiatric intake evaluation
- Order and review routine lab tests, toxicity/medication levels
- Establish collaborative relationship with the collaborating psychiatrist and other staff in managing the care of clients at AAMH.
- Maintains AAMH documentation standards
- Reviews Health Questionnaires and Treatment plans.
